Promotion Rules list
The Promotions module is an optional module that allows you to handle the more complex methods of promoting your products and business. All items are grouped into promotions. All items that belong to the same promotion, contribute to the reward. Each type of promotion has an option of a promotion rule and/or a reward rule.
The following is a list of the rules and additional setup details required for the Promotions Details window accessed via Promotions on the Navigator menu and in the Promotions List window use the add or edit function:
- Coupon: - If the customer provides a coupon for any item on the invoice that belongs to that promotion, the customer is eligible for the reward (ie discounted price)
- Buy a Quantity of Items on one invoice. If the customer purchases a given number of items that all belong to the same promotion, on a single invoice the customer is eligible for the reward. The coupon can be automatic.
- Buy (X) in (Y) days. Buy a certain quantity within a number of days. This promotion requires a customer attached to an invoice.
- Buy Amount (X). Buy equal to a greater that a specific dollar amount of eligible items.
- Customer Card: Customer provides a customer card, name or phone number for tracking purchases.
- Redeem a number of Points. If the customer redeems a certain number of points, they are eligible for a reward.
- Job Number: If the customer provides a job number, they are eligible for a reward.
The Promotion Rule selected dictates the choices available in the Reward Rule drop-down list. Promotion rules and Reward rules can be mixed and matched. See supported rule combinations and limitations.
