Supported promotions rule combinations

Promotion rules and Reward rules can be mixed and matched. See below for details about supported mixes and limitations. If there are multiple promotions available for redeeming points, the promotion requiring the most points is prompted first. If you select to redeem points for one of the promotions, no further prompting is done.

The following promotion rule combinations are currently supported in System Five, Version 6.1.0.x:

Promotion = Coupon, Reward = Percentage (X) Discount

Customer is rewarded with a percentage discount.

We are supporting this promotion with the following options:

Option A:

Max coupons: 0 = No Limit. Any number greater than Zero creates a limit per invoice.
(the maximum amount of coupons that can be applied to one invoice)

Max items per coupon: 0 = No Limit. Any number greater than Zero creates a limit per invoice.
(the maximum number of items that can be applied to one coupon)

Coupon required: Yes/No

Discount method: Price adjustment

Option B:

Max coupons: 0 = No Limit. Any number greater than Zero creates a limit per invoice.

Max items per coupon: 0 = No Limit. Any number greater than Zero creates a limit per invoice.

Coupon required: Yes/No

Discount method: Ledger code

Option C:

Max coupons: 0 = No Limit. Any number greater than Zero creates a limit per invoice.

Max items per coupon: 0 = No Limit. Any number greater than Zero creates a limit per invoice.

Coupon required: Yes/No

Discount method: Discount item

Promotion = Coupon, Reward = Percentage (X) Points

Customer is rewarded with points equal to the percentage of selling price.

(e.g. 10% of the selling price = number of points earned)

We are currently supporting this promotion with the following options:

Option A:

Max coupons: 0 (no limit)

Max items per coupon: 0 (no limit)

Coupon required: No

Discount method: Price adjustment

Option B:

Max coupons: 1

Max items per coupon: 3

Coupon required: No

Discount method: Price adjustment

Promotion = Coupon, Reward = Points (X) Percentage of Profit

Points are awarded on a percentage of profit.

(e.g. 10% of the profit = the number of points earned)

We are currently supporting this promotion with the following options:

Option A:

Max coupons: 0 (no limit)

Max items per coupon: 0 (no limit)

Coupon required: No

Discount method: Price adjustment

Option B:

Max coupons: 1

Max items per coupon: 2

Coupon required: No

Discount method: Price adjustment

Promotion = Coupon, Reward = (X) Points

With this option, the customer receives a specified number of points.

(e.g. buy item receive 100 points)

We are currently supporting this promotion with the following options:

Option A:

Max coupons: 0 (no limit)

Max items per coupon: 0 (no limit)

Coupon required: No

Discount method: Price adjustment

Option B:

Max coupons: 1

Max items per coupon: 3

Coupon required: No

Customer is rewarded with a dollar discount.

We are currently supporting this promotion with the following settings:

Max coupons: 0 (no limit)

Max items per coupon: 0 (no limit)

Coupon required: No

Discount method: Price adjustment

Promotion = Coupon, Reward = Price Schedule (X)

Customer is rewarded with the price schedule for this item only.

We are currently supporting this promotion with the following settings:

Max coupons: 0 = No Limit. Any number greater than Zero creates a limit per invoice.

Max items per coupon: 0 = No Limit. Any number greater than Zero creates a limit per invoice.

Coupon required: Yes/No

Discount method: Price adjustment

Customer is rewarded with the advertised sale price.

We are currently supporting this promotion with the following settings:

Max coupons: 0 = No Limit. Any number greater than Zero creates a limit per invoice.

Max items per coupon: 0 = No Limit. Any number greater than Zero creates a limit per invoice.

Discount method: Price adjustment

Promotion = Buy Quantity (X), Reward = Free Product

Customer is rewarded with a free product.

We are supporting this promotion with the following options:

Option A:

Number of Items: Any number greater than Zero creates a free product on the invoice when that number is reached.(the amount of product required to receive a free product)

Max items: 0 = No Limit. Any number greater than Zero creates a limit per invoice.(the maximum number of items that can be applied to one invoice)

Free Product: Identify free product or products if there is a choice

Discount method: Price adjustment

Option B:

Number of items: > 0

Max invoices: 0 (no limit)

Free Product: Identify free product or products if there is a choice

Discount method: Ledger code

Option C:

Number of items: > 0

Max invoices: 0 (no limit)

Free Product: Identify free product or products if there is a choice

Discount method: Discount Item

Promotion = Buy Quantity (X), Reward = Dollar (X) Discount

Customer is rewarded with a dollar amount of discount.

We are supporting this promotion with the following options:

Option A:

Number of Items: Any number greater than Zero creates a free product on the invoice when that number is reached (the amount of product required to receive a free product).

Max items: 0 = No Limit. Any number greater than Zero creates a limit per invoice (the maximum number of items that can be applied to one invoice).

Dollar Discount: The value of the Discount in Dollars

Discount method: Price adjustment

Promotion = Buy Quantity (X), Reward = Price (X)

Customer is rewarded with a special discounted price.

We are supporting this promotion with the following options:

Option A:

Number of Items: The number of items required in order to receive a special price( mix and match).

Discounted Price: The price specified.

Discount method: Price adjustment

Promotion = Customer Card, Reward = Percentage (X) Discount

Customer is rewarded with a percentage discount.

We are currently supporting this promotion with the following options:

Option A:

Max invoices (the number of times the promotion can be applied): 0 (no limit)

Coupon required: No

Discount method: Price adjustment

Option B:

Max invoices: 0 (no limit)

Coupon required: No

Promotion = Customer Card, Reward = Price Schedule (X)

Customer is rewarded with the price schedule for this item only.

We are currently supporting this Promotion with the following settings:

Max invoices: 0 (no limit)

Coupon required: No

Discount method: Price adjustment

Promotion = Customer Card, Reward = Price $$1

Customer is rewarded with the advertised sale price.

We are currently supporting this Promotion with the following settings:

Max invoices: 0 (no limit)

Coupon required: No

Discount method: Price adjustment

Promotion = Redeem (X) Points, Reward = Dollar (X) Discount

Customer is rewarded with a dollar discount when they redeem sufficient points. The Customer must have already accumulated the number of point required BEFORE the current Invoice. Points collected on the Current Invoice are not considered. This promotion prompts once at end of invoice.

We are currently supporting this promotion with the following settings:

Coupon required: No

Number of Points: The Number of Points required to receive the Dollar Discount.

Dollar Discount: The value of the Discount in Dollars

Promotion = Redeem (X) Points, Reward = Free Product

Customer can redeem sufficient points to receive a free product. The customer must have already accumulated the number of points required BEFORE the current invoice. Points collected on the current invoice are not considered. The Free Product can only be redeemed on an invoice that has other product on it, you can only get one free product for one other product you put on the invoice; you cannot create a blank invoice and add a free product to it

The Free Product reward is only available by redeeming points (it is not available for any other promotion type at this time)

Redeeming Points to select a free PART-X adds PART-X to the invoice, even if PART-X is already on the invoice, the system does NOT discount an existing line. Free Products are discounted on the invoice line (there is no support for Discount Parts or Ledger Codes at this time)

Number of Points: The Number of Points required to receive the Free Product.

Dollar Discount: The value of the Discount in Dollars

Promotion = Job Number, Reward = Percentage (X) Discount

For this promotion, the customer/contractor may provide a specific job number to receive the reward of a percentage discount.
