This command allows you to view existing inventory item records in the database. You cannot edit inventory item details with this command. To edit inventory item details use the Edit item command.
Not all users have access privileges for editing inventory items. See Setup Tools> Setup Wizard> Users and Security.
To view a specific item's details in the inventory database, select Inventory and Purchase > Inventory > View item from the Navigator menu as shown in Figure 1.

This opens the Part Find window where you specify the search criteria and select the desired inventory item in the list. See Finding inventory items. The Part Details tab becomes the focus with the selected item's details displayed.
You can create a new sale from View Item command using the [New Sale] button on the Part Find window. An invoice created using this option while viewing prices for a specific customer automatically have this customer associated.
