Tax Names

After setting up the Tax Table, the Setup Wizard's Tax Name command allows you to specify the name you wish displayed and printed through the system when a generic name is required, for example, some tax reports list area taxes with the individual Tax Table zone names but the report total line displays the Tax Name entered here for that tax group. There are eight possible taxes you can label and these match with the eight taxes in the tax table.

Once complete you can then enter the Tax Number and create Ledger numbers and where applicable: specify tax (G.S.T.) credit information, set up Contractor tax in two ways; either by flagging an invoice as a contractor invoice or by associating a Contractor tax to individual inventory items, and track the Duties and /or Tariffs owed Customs and associate individual inventory items with the appropriate code (s).
