The User Options can be accessed via the following Navigator menu path:
Setup Tools > Setup Wizard > Users and Security > User Options.
The Setup Wizard's User Options, as shown in Figure 1, allows setting options that affect all users in the system.

Log out on no Keystroke |
Check the check box to log out users automatically after five minutes with no activity. This feature must also be activated individually for each user you want to have automatically logged out. |
Restrict Password to # Characters |
Check the check box to restrict the user password length to the maximum number of characters you specify. If System Five detects Integrated Credit or Debit Card Processing this option is ignored. See: PCI compliance |
Enforce PCI complex password rules in all users. |
Check the checkbox if to force all users to use 7-character password even though they are not using a payment processor within System Five.See: PCI compliance |
Specify a 'Base Cost' Price Level for each user |
Check the check box to select a price level for each user of the system. You can select the price level on the Options tab of the Users and Security window. The selected price level affects the profit calculations in some reports as well as on the Discount dialog in the invoice window. The profit is calculated by using the selected price level as the Cost value.
The following reports' profit calculations are affected by this setting:

Use Time Sheets? |
Check the check box to enable the Time Sheets feature and add the Employees and Time Sheets menu to the Main?navigator menu.

Enforce Price Level Security |
Check the check box to enable the ability to assign which Price Schedules each user is allowed to use and see. Users with Supervisor mode access are exempt. |
Enforce Salesperson-Customer Security |
Check the check box to enable a feature which allows non-supervisor users to only see and use customer records which they are assigned to as Salesperson. Users with Supervisor mode access are exempt. |
