Quest Eftpos Credit Card Processing
This help file is for Quest Eftpos credit/debit card transactions. Eftpos stands for Electronic Funds Transfer at Point of Sale. This implementation is currently only available in Australia.
Notes about Quest Eftpos
- Credit Card need to be swiped on the pin pad to get card present rates. Credit card numbers may be manually typed, but manual key rates apply.
- Debit Cards must be swiped on the pin pad.
- The customer name is not returned by the Quest Eftpos System after the credit card has been swiped on the pin pad.
- Transactions must be refunded. There is no void function.
- System Five will store the customer and merchant slip and print with the invoice.
- Mail Order / Telephone Orders / ECommerce are allowed if the transaction is tagged as such.
There is some confusion with Eftpos. Eftpos is a credit card and debit card processing system. It is not a tender type. Tender types are Visa, Master Card, cash, cheque, Debit etc. Quite often Eftpos is confused with debit. Debit is the term used by System Five.
