Printer Setup

Printer Setup Overview

The Printer Setup window is provides advanced setup options for your printers within System Five. Generally speaking, if you can print to your printer through Microsoft Windows then you can print to your printer through System Five. The Printer Setup area gives you the ability to set the order in which your printers are listed by System Five in the Printer selection dialogs throughout the program. Making adjustments to the settings is not required and should only be used if the need arises. Your printers will function without making any adjustments to these settings.

The Printer Setup window shows a list of the Printer Drivers installed on the local Terminal in a list on the left side. The Printers tab on the right side displays a list of the settings available within System Five. The Order tab provides the ability to specify the order in which the Printers are listed in System Five's printer selection dialogs. Finally, the Printer Codes tab provides the ability to select, add or modify the Printer Control Codes for barcode and receipt type printers that use that technology. These are all advanced settings that are not required in order to print, but provide extended control within the system.
