Purpose

Allow password recovery questions/answers for non-supervisors

If the allow password recovery option is enabled, a Reset Password link will appear when an invalid password has been entered. The Reset Password dialog will have 1 or 2 tabs depending on the settings. The Reset Password tab allows non-administrator users to reset their password if they answer one of the randomly offered questions correctly. Pressing the [OK] button will create a temporary password and display it. The temporary password is set to expire on the same day and will prompt the user to change it when they log in.

Allow password recovery to be sent to Support

The Support Reset Password tab provides an option to generate a new temporary password and create an encrypted string. This string can then be emailed or faxed to System Five support staff for decoding. A System Five representative will call back to confirm the identity of the user making the request and then use the encrypted string to create a temporary password without removing administrator privileges

Allow supervisors to continue in non-admin mode

Administrators receive a temporary password, but are warned that their administrator status is disabled and they will require another administrator to restore their administrator status.

Predefined Questions

This is where the questions that users can select from are setup. The Samples link on the right will populate the list with canned sample questions. Each user sets their answers to these questions on the Password Recover tab.
