Fast Stock Entry

The Fast Stock Entry function has been replaced by the Physical Inventory Count function found using the following Navigator menu path:

Inventory and Purchases -> Physical Inventory Count

For Existing Customers

The main differences from the Fast stock Entry to the new Physical Inventory Count are as follows:

In addition to creating a count batch file, if you use a data collector or scanner to count your inventory you also create a scan batch file in the Physical Inventory Count function and then APPLY it to the count batch file. The major advantages of creating the scan batch file are:

You create a scan batch file for each type of scan source and can collect results daily then apply them or collect them over a number of days before applying them. You can create a scan batch file for each staff member and collect part or all of that person's set of results before applying them to a count batch file. You can name the files to easily identify them for example by the person, exact device or date.

You can create a count list from a scan results file by applying a scan batch file to an "initial (blank)" type count batch file.

The Physical Inventory Count function supports serialized inventory and forced counts for specific inventory items.

After you perform your count and input/import the results and apply them to a count list, the variance is reported in a sperate tab from the count list in the Physical Inventory Count function. This tab allows various sorting methods that offers you a customizable view of the results.
