Customer - Payments tab

The Customer Details window - Payments tab displays a list of payments received on account. There are two types of payments. Those made by applying a payment against an invoice and those where money is received on an ROA invoice and then later applied against an invoice.

Normally, money should be received in the Received on Account module and applied directly against the invoice. However, if a customer enters the store and wants to pay money on the account and the clerk does not know or have the authority to enter regular A/R payments, then an ROA invoice can be created and the money taken. In this case, the bookkeeper has to apply the money against the invoice(s) later.
