Customer National Accounts tab (optional)

Note: Only available if the National Subsidiary Accounts feature is enabled in the Setup Wizard.

Topic overview

In the Customer Details window - National Accounts tab, shown in Figure 1 & 2, you can link the current customer record to a single national (parent) customer record or link a number of subsidiary accounts to the current account or both.

The purpose, function and contents of the items on the tab are explained in detail in Table 1.

Item

Purpose, Function or Contents

This subsidiary account is financed by a parent company

Check the check box to open the Find Customer window where you find and select the national/parent customer record to associate the current customer to as a subsidiary. Once selected, the Find Customer window closes and the following selected parent record contact details are displayed in the top portion of the tab:

  • Name

  • Address

  • City, State/Province

  • ZIP/Postal, Country

  • Phone

  • Fax

  • Account No.

Once a parent account is selected, click the [View] button to open the Customer Details window with the parent record details displayed.

Active

Click on a blank cell to open the Find Customer window where you find and select the a customer record to associate to the current customer to as a subsidiary. Once selected, the Find Customer window closes and the following selected subsidiary record contact details are displayed in the bottom grid portion of the tab:

  • Account No.

  • Name

  • City

  • Phone

  • Balance

For an existing subsidiary account, click the [Check mark] icon on the appropriate row in the Subsidiary Account list to open the Customer Details window with the subsidiary customer record details displayed.

Total National Balance

Displays the total balance owing of all subsidiary balances in the Subsidiary Account list (sum of).
