Book Months

The Automatic Method (New in Versions 5.32.0.x and greater, Default on new installs)

The recommended method is to have the Book Month values automatically defined by the Date of the record.

You avoid the Integrity Warnings due to differences between the record Dates and the Book Month values. You avoid confusing differences in Reports, where one based on Book Month.

Minimum Book Month push back so that months that were closed are now open again.

• Warning! It's advised that only Supervisors who have access to the Setup Wizard are allowed to do this.

The Minimum Book Month prevents anything from being posted to month prior to the set value. This can be used prevent users from editing accounting information in closed accounting periods.
