Balance Sheet report

Your Balance Sheet contains your assets and liabilities, and nothing else. This is a snapshot of your company's financial standing.

This shows you such things as land owned, buildings, bank loans, etc.

The Main Buttons

View: If you are in the Info tab this switches you to the Report tab.

Print: This prints the Balance Sheet.

Refresh: This refreshes the Balance Sheet window if you have made any changes.

Exit: This exits the Balance Sheet.

The Info Tab: The Info Tab is were you make your selection of the date, filters and print options for the Balance Sheet.

Book Month: Used to select the Book Month for the Balance Sheet.

Show Zero YTD Values: Checking this box will show accounts that have a Zero YTD Balance.

Show ledger balance forward amounts: If you have performed a Year End, then the balances from the Income and Expense accounts will be rolled up into the Retained Earnings and the individual account balances will be reset to zero as of the date of the Year End. Checking this box will cause the report to include the values from the Year End postings.

Show A/R and A/P Sub Ledger: Checking this box will show all of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Sub Ledger entries and their balances. If this box is not checked, the value of the A/R and A/P are still included in the report, they are simply consolidated into a single line entry for each.

Font: You can select the Font used on the Printed Report.

Printer Orientation: You can select the orientation of the Printed Report.

Department: The selection of Consolidated or individual departments allows you to examine the performance of each department or the entire company.

Use window Department Name: In the Setup Wizard you can specify names for the Departments that are to be used on window. These names may differ from the Name of the department. This is to allow for a shorter version of the Department Name.

The Report Tab: This tab displays the Balance Sheet itself based on the selections and settings on the Info Tab. An example of the Balance sheet is shown below.
